Many of you know me as Mercy Turner Events and may be wondering why my business name has changed. Well over the last few years I have taken a step back from weddings and really focused on my family. I had decided that I would not go back into business until I knew it was 100% the right fit and that it was exactly what my heart felt was right for me. While putting no pressure on myself to get back into the events world, I knew I missed it as I always was volunteering my time to help others with their functions and it's when I would find I was happiest. Once my kiddos both were in school this yearning for doing something creative became much stronger and strangely this is when and where I met my new business partner, Kelly Hunt Vander Vliet

Kelly and I together are a dream team... powerhouse you could say! She is even more creative then I am, with talents to make ANYTHING! We are going to be offering a wide range of services starting out with charcuterie boards for the holidays, classes, corporate events, small intimate events (birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette), to as big of an event as you can dream.

Hi, I’m Kelly and after spending most of my adult life in Chicago, I now live in Ogden Dunes, IN with my husband and two daughters. For as long as I can remember I’ve felt happiest when creating something. Creating art, recipes, vacation itineraries, wedding & party plans, flower arrangements, charcuterie boards, menus-–just CREATING. It’s where I thrive. Because of this I know many ways to make events special–and as a former restaurant manager with formal wine training I’ve thrown countless successful parties and fundraisers, big and small. So after years of working independently helping friends and family execute every detail of their events, I’m thrilled to partner with such an experienced event planner as Mercy and establish Jooniper Events.
